Basic Skills and Concepts
This module teaches you the foundation for checking and interpreting blood sugar readings, as well as understanding how things like medications and exercise impact your blood sugar. We also discuss how to navigate this process with your doctor and how to evaluate your results so you reach your goals faster.
How to Reverse Type 2 Diabetes
You will learn in this module what has gone wrong in your body and how we know it is reversible. I explain how much of your diabetes is related to your genes and why medications are not a true solution.
How to Make Food Your Medicine
Once you understand how your body is designed, you need to learn how to eat in a way that allows it to heal and thrive. In this module, we bust some myths, and then we learn what’s in food and how this impacts your diabetes. You learn what to eat, how much, and how often in a way that reverses diabetes. I also talk about how to allow treats if you want them.
This is the module where we take action. With the knowledge of what your body needs to heal, you build a food plan and follow it. If you are like most people, sometimes you don’t follow your plan. This module gives you the skills to create a healthy relationship with food and with yourself so that you can stop self-sabotaging and follow through on your commitment.
How to Reach Your Goals
The way you succeed is to make this process feel good. This module teaches you how to manage your mind so you stop quitting and cheating on yourself. You learn how to feel better when you feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or hopeless. And you learn how to not get stuck and stay in consistent action toward your goal.
This bonus module gives you important skills to deal with stress, special occasions and vacations, “falling off the wagon,” and when nothing seems to be working.
